The following services are available for individuals actively seeking employment, on their own, or with One-Staff staff:

Job Search Assistance and Placement is available on an individual basis for job matching, job development and referrals to employers. See a clerk at the 1st floor Information Desk.

Job (Positive) Recruitments are held at the Business Resource Center, 1st floor, to give job seekers access to employers eager to hire qualified workers. Please see Recruitments page and calendar for more details.

New Jersey Career Connections is the state's site that allows job seekers to list resumes, search a nationwide listing of job openings, research demand occupations and training institutions free of charge. Website:

The Jersey Job Club is an innovative program designed to assist active jobseekers enhance their employment search. Through workshops designed to implement best practices that work in today's employment landscape and trends that will work tomorrow; traditional and social networking practices; and training that focuses on transferable skills as well as soft skills, participants are given the tools necessary to motivate and focus their job search.   Contact Christine Denning 201-329-9600 x 5638 for more information.

Veterans Services - If you are a qualified veteran of the U.S. military,a Veterans Representative is available to assist you with Job Search activities. The Jobs for Veterans Act affords priority of service to covered veterans and eligible spouses over non-covered persons for the receipt of employment, training and placement services provided under new or existing job training programs funded in whole, or in part, by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). Services for People with Disabilities - If you have a documented disability and your disability prevents you from getting or keeping a job, contact DVR (Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services) for assistance at 201-996-8970. 55 and Over Program - If you are 55 and over and have low income, the Easter Seals/55+ program offers various job search assistance programs. To obtain more information, see a clerk in Room 202 or call Martyse Strychacz, at 201-329-9600 x 5637.
